Powder Creek Rifle and Pistol Ranges

25, 50, 100 and 200 yard Rifle and Pistol Range

The rifle and handgun ranges are open to Club members and their guests. Fees are $5 for members and $10 for guests of members. Members must be present when guests are shooting.

Our rifle and handgun ranges can accommodate both handgun and rimfire shooters, as well as large-bore rifle shooters. Our handgun/rimfire range has targets set at 12-1/2, 25 and 50 yards while the 100 and 200-yard rifle ranges gives the large bores a more challenging afternoon. Range Masters are on duty during all hours of operation to ensure a safe shooting environment. They are also a great source of information.

Whether you simply want to sight in your hunting rifle for deer season or participate in one of our many competitive matches, Powder Creek is the place for you! The range is scheduled to be open from 10 AM to 2 PM on Tuesdays and from 10 AM to 5 PM on weekends. However, if you may wish to call ahead prior to heading to Powder Creek, as weather conditions and shooter volume may dictate early closure.

Things to Remember

When you visit the rifle and handgun ranges, there are a few things you should remember to bring to make your trip more enjoyable. You will find such things as sandbags and rests are there for your use, at no charge. While eye protection, ear protection, and targets are available, there will be a charge for those items. Use the following checklist before your next trip to the range.

Stapler or tape - To hang your targets on the backer boards.

Spotting scope or field glasses - With enough power to see your bullet holes downrange.

A small gun tool kit - Include Allen wrenches, screw drivers and other tools for making adjustments to your rifle/handgun and scope.

Don't forget small bills with which to pay the Range Master.
