Powder Creek Shooting School

The Powder Creek Shooting School had its beginning in 2001 with a very meager staff. Since that time, under the leadership and direction of John Francis, Chief Shooting Instructor, the school has grown to a total staff of eight part time instructors, all of which are certified by the National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA). A number of Powder Creek's instructors are also NRA certified to meet the requirements of the Boy Scout Merit Badge Program.

John, along with his fellow instructors, is an accomplished shooter in multiple disciplines and possesses a natural, innate ability to assist shooters from the novice to the advanced level, and to dissect and correct problems with technique, gun fit, and a myriad of other problems.

John is also the Sporting Clays Director at Powder Creek and possesses a knowledge and expertise in setting sporting clays courses and target presentations which is unexcelled in this region.
