REGISTERED SHOOTS
Trap

Powder Creek has five Trap Fields, four of which are dedicated solely to Trap and one is dual-use, shared with our Skeet Fields. All Trap Fields are lighted for evening and night-time use. The four dedicated Trap Fields feature automatic Pat Traps, along with Canterbury Voice Release Systems. The concrete shooting pads on these fields were replaced in 2002 and the landscaping completed in early 2003. The second of two shelters was constructed in 2003.

Singles, doubles and handicap targets are thrown to ATA standards, along with International Targets and quail flurries. ATA Registered Shoots are held on Sunday's  of almost every month. Three  Trap Leagues are conducted throughout the year with league shooting occurring on Thursday evenings.

Registered Trap Shoot dates at Powder Creek have been set for 2010 and confirmed with the ATA.

Skeet

We have 3 Skeet Fields, all of which are lighted and have automatic release machines.

Sporting Clays

Sporting Clays is the preferred shotgun game for hunters who want to keep their reflexes sharp and practice shots encountered in the field. Our Sporting Clays Course consists of 12 Stations with a wide variety of specialty targets. The graveled trail through the woods around the Sporting Clays Course is sheltered from wind and sun. The course is changed on a regular basis. We hold NSCA Registered Shoots, Fun Shoots and Sporting Clays League during the year.  Powder Creek uses iClays for reporting and scoring of all NSCA Registered Shoots.
