Trap Powder Creek has five trap fields, four of which are dedicated solely to trap and the other shared with a skeet field. All trap fields are lighted for evening and night-time use. The four dedicated trap fields feature automatic Beomat and Pat Traps, along with Canterbury Voice Release Systems. The concrete shooting pads on these fields were replaced in 2002 and the landscaping completed in early 2003. The second of two shelters was completed in 2003. Singles, doubles and handicap targets are thrown to ATA standards. ATA Registered Shoots are held throughout the year. Spring, summer, and fall Trap Leagues are conducted with league shooting generally occurring on Thursday evenings. The registered trap shoot program at Powder Creek can be found at Registered Shoots for dates, program, and shoot results.
Skeet We have 3 skeet fields, all of which are lighted. We will not hold NSSA registered skeet shoots for the 2009 calendar year.
Sporting Clays Sporting Clays is the preferred shotgun game for hunters who want to keep their reflexes sharp and practice shots encountered in the field. Our Sporting Clays course consists of 12 stations with a wide variety of specialty targets. The graveled trail through the woods around Sporting Clays is sheltered from wind and sun. The course is changed on a regular basis to give a variety of targets.
We hold NSCA Registered Shoot, Sporting Clays League and Fun Shoots during the year.
